I was worried about short story outfits being slated for retirement, so I've been steadily going through my list and whittling away at it using the code. So now I have some short story outfits for Kit and Molly and no Kit doll to wear them.
I know some of you collect stuff before you buy the doll, but it's SO hard! At least for me- LOL! I have this trunk with outfits just waiting for a doll to wear them and I'm tempted to buy an ebay Kit just so I can charge her to buyer credit! I plan to buy her after my house sells or in May, whichever comes first, but this waiting is KILLING me! It doesn't make it any easier that I'm also buying some of the cheaper items with the code for her since it's such a great deal.

Do you have a AGOT doll that can wear Kit's outfits til you get Kit? Use another doll for now to display the outfits. I got two of Addy's and yet got no Addy. I use the outfits on the other girls til Addy moves in.

I've also been collecting Kit's stuff awaiting her arrival. She was going to be my next doll, but have decided on Nellie instead b/c I love all of Nellies outfits while just a few of Kit's appeal to me. Samantha was my first doll, so it's only right I get Nellie. I haven't got any of Kit's clothes yet. I have mainly been concentrating on her accessories. The treehouse outfit and her bed are first on my priority list. Addy is going to share the bed with her. I still want Kit as well b/c she reminds me of my mother.

Horsemom: I do that all the time, I have various outfits and accessories for all 8 of the dolls, but we only have 3 of them so far! It's still a good feeling though. Kinda like nesting for that eventual arrival!

I know what you mean. Im the kinda person who does not like to have dolls wearing clothes that are not there own, so I just had to wait till I actually got the doll.
I had outfits and accessories for Felicity, Josefina, Addy, Samantha, and Kailey before I ever even got those dolls.
(Now, the only dolls I do NOT have are Addy and Josie, but as soon as I can get them, I will.)
BUT....the good part was, when I got those dolls, I already had clothes to put on them and accessories to play around with.. really, having the clothes/accessories beforehand does make it twice as much fun to finally get the doll!

I've done this before and am really glad I did because the items retired! So I have them. Whew!
I am currently doing this for Kirsten. I have some of her accessories and five outfits for her now. Every time I get a new outfit for her I just want to try it on a doll, but I am a purist. Molly just wouldn't look right in a prarie dress. Kirsten should be coming home in October and I think she will be very excited about her "instant wardrobe". [img]smile.gif[/img]
Hang in there and I am sure someday Kit will also enjoy her instant wardrobe.

at least you know you'll have those items! that code is dangerous! I've used it way too many times!
I got a used Kailey on Ebay and she's not in great shape. My opinion- you are better off buying new with the code if you can't get one in mint cond. elsewhere.
